About Paul

Paul Simo is Principal of Simo Community Design LLC, which focuses on preservation-sensitive community engagement, planning and consulting for architects, community leaders and small business owners in the Atlanta area, across Georgia and throughout the Southeast.

He has 20 years of preservation assistance experience, working with nonprofits and private and public sector clients, specializing in historic tax credits for commercial and residential projects.

 

Awards

Paul has won numerous awards for his preservation-oriented projects and design guidelines over the course of his career, both as Simo Community Design and at previous positions. Most recently, he was recognized by the Atlanta Urban Design Commission in 2018 for his historic preservation consulting on 1043 Metropolitan Parkway, which was rehabilitated into a bed & breakfast.

He is also a 2006 Georgia Trend magazine 40 Under 40 recipient.
